Book Sale – Stafford Branch Ocean County Library

The Friends of the Stafford branch of the Ocean County Library are seeking donations of fiction and nonfiction titles for their book sale on Friday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hard covers will cost $1, while paperbacks are 50 cents each. Children’s books are five for $1 or 25 cents individually. Large-size coffee table books range from $3 to $5. All proceeds go library craft supplies and programs.
After a summer break, the Friends’ monthly programs return on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. with a talk on “Common Scams and How to Avoid Them.” Marisa Lawrence, Stafford Township community policing officer, presents the program. She will give tips on identifying red flags so as not to fall victim.
She will also give an overview of some of the more recent scams.
