Free Saturday Night Concert Series – Barnegat Township

Joey D and Johnny B’s Rockin’ Oldies band will open the Barnegat Township Recreation Department’s free Saturday night concert series at the dock on Saturday, May 27. All concerts begin at 7.
Well-known in the area, the band performs a wide range of music featuring doo-wop, Motown and disco among others. They also have a return engagement on July 29.
The rest of the Saturday schedule is White Rabbit, June 24 and Aug. 26; Reflection Station, July 1 and Sept. 2; Tommy Smooth and Company, July 8; Jersey Jukebox, July 15 and Aug. 19; the Kootz Band, July 22; Strictly 60s, Aug. 5; and the Jalapeno Trio, Aug. 12.
There are also two special Sunday-night concerts featuring the Jalapeno Trio on July 2 and Remember When Vocal Group on Sept. 3.
Ice cream, snacks and bottled water will be available for sale. Anyone interested in sponsoring a concert should email [email protected].
In case of rain, concerts will be moved to the Russell Brackman Middle School. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
